Babies from 5 days to 6 weeks | Studio

A newborn changes so incredibly fast! Within a few weeks, they lose their sleepy, curly, wrinkly newborn-ness. Capture your baby’s first photos as soon as possible after they are born by pre-booking your newborn session with us. We have photographed hundreds of newborn babies and have the experience to create incredible portraits you will adore!

Newborn and baby sessions are baby-led, meaning we take the time needed to stop and feed, settle and comfort the baby to get the perfect photos. We are not rushing you out the door after a set time. Babies don’t work like that so neither do we.

Maternity Sessions

What magic it is to create new life! Celebrate this incredible time in your life with portraits you will treasure forever. Captured either outdoors in the golden glow of sunset or our studio, we know that you will love seeing yourself in stunning photographs.

We try and keep these sessions short and sweet, around 45-60 mins or so depending on whether you include other children. We will create your portraits in a style to suit you and how you would love to remember this time in your life.

Older Baby Sessions

Babies from 8+ weeks | Studio

Those chubby cheeks and baby rolls! We love older babies’ sessions when we start to see their cheeky personalities come through. Best when babies are over about 8 weeks and they are more interactive.

Our baby sessions are baby-led, meaning we take the time needed to stop and feed, settle and comfort the baby and wait to get the perfect photos. We are not rushing you out the door after a set time. Babies don’t work like that so neither do we.

Every client and session is different. Some clients purchase a few favourite images and spend a few hundred dollars, others purchase lots of printed products and spend thousands. We will let you know what to expect upfront so there are no surprises when you view your images.

As soon as you know you want us to work for you, book it! We can book out in advance and we recommend booking early, especially for newborn and maternity sessions that are time-sensitive. If you have just found us and your baby is already born or you’re at the end of your pregnancy, please contact us straight away. We will always try to squeeze in last-minute sessions.

Yes, we can organise that for you. We have amazing artists that we work with regularly and trust. Let us know when contacting us and we will cross-check with our preferred artist’s availability too.

We have a small number of options for ladies as backup and provide the fabric drapes for maternity sessions, but since we believe that your portraits should reflect you we think you should wear outfits that you love! Don’t worry we will guide you on what works best in the photos before your shoot and we are always happy to have you text us photos beforehand for our help.

A newborn session is typically photographed when a baby is only a few weeks old. We love babies of all ages and will never turn away a session because a baby is “too old”.

We schedule a tentative date for around 7-10 days after your due date. If your baby arrives early or later then we will move it to a new day. We limit the number of sessions that are booked in advance to ensure flexibility in the schedule for this reason. It also allows us to take in last-minute bookings when dates are free. Pre-booking guarantees your session with the studio. Bookings for newborn sessions are accepted from your second trimester.

Yes, we do. All our studio props and accessories are carefully selected to flatter the tiny babies we work with without overpowering them. We avoid trendy props and styles that date quickly and prefer to stick to a more simple and organic style that will remain beautiful for years to come. If you have something sentimental you would like to include in your newborn photos please let us know and we can advise if it will work (it usually does!)
